How do you clean fly poop off of fabric, specifically white curtain fabric? Thanks!? We have new white curtains, and I found three tiny stains that looked like blood stains on the curtains, up toward the ceiling. It turns out that- eewwww- it is fly poop! My husband says it is greasy and hard to clean, and I need to tackle the white curtains with a spot cleaner. The material is a white polished cotton. Please help! Thanks in advance for your help!

What kind of fabric for curtain? I'm trying to decorate my living room and I broke down and bought some blinds for the windows but I want fabric for the huge slider doors. What kind of fabric is good for keeping out sun, will hold up well, washable, sort of light weight, and is easy to sew (my mother-in-law will do this not me!) I want it to look nice too!
Are fabric shower curtain liners that claim to be mildew resistant really effective at preventing mildew? I usually buy vinyl shower cutain liners for less than $3 at Target, then just throw them away when they develop lots of mildew. I live in an apartment that has no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so mildew is practically unavoidable. Will it be worth it to spend $10 on one of the fabric, mildew resistant liners? I imagine that I could put the fabric kind in the washing machine if it begins to develop mold instead of throwing it away, correct?
How do you keep mold from forming on a fabric shower curtain liner? They all say they are mold-proof, but after a while there's no stopping it. I put the liner into the wash and it cleans it really well, but the mold inevitably comes back. It's usually down where the liner clings to the tub and is probably because it can't dry out well there, but I can't figure out how to solve that issue. Is there something with which you can clean the liner or something to put on the liner to keep mold from growing? FYI: I do keep the liner fully extended, but I wonder if that's part of the problem because then the whole thing just clings to the wet tub and never dries well. I like the idea of pulling the liner outside the tub, but how do you keep it from dripping (even after shaking the excess water out)?

How do you sew or glue elastic onto fabric to make a curtain without a sewing machine? I need to make a handmade "curtain" without a sewing machine by tomorrow morning (i.e. a few hours from now...:) The curtain is being used to hide a refrigerated display case. I'm planning on using velcro to attach the material to the case. However, it is in a restaurant and will need to be cleaned quite often. So i thought using elastic to gather the material at the top would create creases to help hide any stains at least a little bit. I have a glue gun, elastic, thread, and a needle. What do you suggest?! Help please!! (Actually I know not to GLUE the elastic to the material, but rather i mean use the glue to create the horizontal "pocket" around the velcro.) What are the top 3 interior curtain fabrics? I am making 4 very large curtains for my child's school auditorium. The fabric must be fire resistant, not too heavy for a home sewing machine, and pretty as well. I should mention that these are for the windows. One is 27 x 10, another is 31 x 10 and 2 15 x 10's. The stage curtain will be a 22oz IFR Velour that we would like to compliment. The Arch. on the job is worrying about dust settling in the nap.

How can I hang fabric curtains to close off a room? I have an finished open basement, just one big room with a bed and dresser on one side and my couches and tv on the other.
