How thick is Burgundy silk taffeta curtain fabric?

- The nature of taffeta, silk or otherwise, is to be stiff. It's often used in formalware because it makes skirts stand out without hoops, petticoats, etc. I suspect that taffeta might not drape will enough for curtains. Got a link to a specific fabric? Maybe it lists the weight per yard or something else that will give us a clue about its thickness. - Any taffeta is very thin, but you can line your drapes with another layer for backing, in the same or contrasting color. Another option is to over-lay your drapes with lace. Sure hope this helps!
